McNair Software adds in-house PCB prototyping

About two years ago, McNair Software expanded our services to include electrical engineering and layout of printed circuit boards to offer our clients a compete firmware/hardware solution. We’re expanding again to offer rapid PCB prototyping.

With all the new component and processing technology, it's very difficult to produce a representative wire-wrapped prototype board for proving out electronic circuitry. We've invested in a new era circuit board plotter and peripheral equipment to produce PCBs up to 9 in x 12 in single-sided or double-sided mixed signal, up to 8 layers, with through-hole support. In conjunction with a hot air solder unit, we're able to build PCBs with surface-mounted technology in-house and drastically reduce the time to prove new designs.

Not only are we using this equipment for our own designs, we're offing the rapid turn-around PCB prototyping to other engineering teams. Additionally, the tools have the ability to mill plastic housings and front panels.
